Any ideas on how to make the cloth faster would be much appreciated.

   look after it will, brush (in the direction of the weave only!) and iron regularly. cover it up when not in use and keep the cloth clean

   Brush it in the right direction to free the dust etc..from the top of the table down to the bottom….then get a damp beer cloth rap it round the brush then lightly repeat using the same method. Lastly when the table is fully cleaned and dry, you can use an iron preferably old type with metal base not to hot though then run it down the nap of the table this should make it smoother and play a lot quicker.

   Buy a slate slab lol

   Burn it

   Remove and put it some silkier material.

   The best thing to do if it really bothers you is go down to your market or nearest materials shop and buy a material that is heavy and smooth like satin or something and then cut it to size, and staple it on the the table or if you are good replace the cloth.

   While you have the old cloth off you could get some quality hardwood cut to size and reupholster that. So you replace the crappy wood the Argos table came with just the bit you play on and put some quality wood there instead.

   Get new cloth, I recommend simonis 760, its the fastest cloth on the planet.
