I have heard in some aspects, Billiards is not considered a sport. In some other aspects how ever, Billiards is considered a sport not so much of the minimal physical requirements, but because of the mental concentration it takes to play. I never see any big stories or links about billiards mentioned on sports sites or anything like that. What is the deal?

I would say that if you consider cheerleading a sport then yes pool is a sport.

Well, they show it on ESPN, oh wait, they also show Scrabble Championships. It doesn’t really matter if it is a sport or not, however, it does require mental toughness and lots of practice to be good. I would consider it to be a leisure activity.
