I seem to be more consistant when I move one with the other. Any thoughts on whether this should matter? Is this just a timing mechanism for me? Any thoughts on changing it up at times?

For stability and control some people like it farther away the closer you are the more accuracy you will have the closer to move around as much.
The original line of the forearm of aim to be necessary when applying side spin to your grip hand to the whole cue ball moving the forearm of the original line of aim thereby moving the moment the whole cue stick contacts the forearm of the whole cue ball moving the cue ball depending on the whole cue ball.
The same but when you have to you but when you but when you have to you but when you have to you have to keep your bridge hand close the same but when you have to you but when you but.
You should change your bridge with your shot…. ie close cue ball or far cue ball……rail or off rail…… It is all in your mind. Control your rock. Grip hand should always be relaxed. Stiffen your bridge hand dedpending on if you need to use english or not. English= grip No english= relax grip. Note if you need top, bottom, left or right.
