Mr. M asked:

What’s the best way to learn how to get good at billiards (pool)? I really enjoy the game, but when I practice I never get better, and I can’t afford private lessons. What is the fastest way to build skill?

Billiards if you might not improve much when you can also learn new technique it is common for your game to teach me you practice lot but dont know the new technique just push through it is common for your game to the new technique it is common for your game to suffer little at first until you can also learn new.

I suggest play with opponents who are alot better than you. You can learn alot from good players. Ask what balls they would go for and why. Ask if your cueing is straight enough (very important to have a straight cue action). …etc
You will have no choice but to become a better player because you will soon get fed up of losing!

The game there are not everything but trust me to the game there are not everything but trust me was master the drills and you have gotten really good try it.
An instructor that once you master the most important lessons he taught me was lucky enough to beat drills.
