carpet wrinkles under pool table- should I take table apart for restretching or can I leave it in place?
Filed Under Billiards | 5 Comments
One carpet guy said to have the pool table taken apart, which is a couple hundred dollars. It would be a logistical problem to have the pool table folks come, take the table apart, carpet guy do his work, people come back to reassemble the table. The thing is, he seemed to not really be sure about what he was talking about, so I don’t know whether to have him do the work. I think the wrinkles could be stretched out with the table in place. If I can get someone to agree to do it with the table in place, will they be able to do it? I don’t want to pay to have the carpet guy come here if it’s not going to work, but I don’t want to deal with the table if it’s not really necessary. Thanks for any help!

Every year they change the schedule around so that they can broadcast a billiards game over top gear. I thought it was the biggest show in the UK, why don’t they just change the billiards schedule instead? Also, if they are broadcasting it live, why don’t thy just show top gear an hour early or a bit later?

Okay. I’ve read and bought books on how to masse(make the ball curve) in pool/billiards. Nothing helps, I keep trying, and I only get a small curve. How do I determine where it will curve, when it will start to curve, and most of all, where do you hit it to make the cue ball go forward and then back without bouncing off anything? I’ve tried bottom spin even on 85 degree angle…still not working!!! Please help!!!
Also, my cue chalks up VERY bad!!!
Whenever I try to chalk it, it only gets the edges and not the top. I try to chalk in different ways, lightly, hard, sideways, everything, and it still chalks bad.
