I know this is such a generalization, but most women make two serious mistakes when playing, and most men never tell them about it.

First, when you are aiming you need to try and hit the dead center of the white ball. If you want the ball to stop dead after you hit the other ball hit slightly below the center. But the main mistake women seem to make is they do not bend down low enough to take the shot. To really aim properly you need to be almost touching the cue with your chin. The arm holding the cue should be vertical.

Second, your bridge should be firm. Place your hand on the table flat. Then bring your knuckles up and lift your thumb off the table to make a V shape with your knuckles. This firm bridge is where you place the cue.

If you keep a firm stance, line up your shots properly, and follow this advice your game will improve a lot. Then you can start learning some more fancy stuff.

Sorry if this all too basic for you, but I’ve seen so many women making these mistakes I thought I would share. Good luck!
