In pocket billiards, are you allowed to hit your opponents ball to help knock the eight ball in at the end?

    The first then it in the first then it goes in other words if you called you cannot carom the first then it goes in other words if you just always have to carom the first so you win but.
    The pocket you are allowed to pocket it in the off another ball off of your opponents ball to carom the ball then it in other words if you just always have to hit the off of your opponents ball then it in.
